Experienced Executive Brings Strategic Vision, Agricultural Expertise, and Proven Leadership to Drive Verdex Capital’s Next Chapter

Verdex Capital’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Collin Phillip as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Phillip assumes the role effective September 2, 2025.

A seasoned executive, Collin brings more than two decades of strategic leadership experience across North American and international markets. He has held senior roles in the agricultural sector, including Corteva Agriscience, PRT Growing Services, and Bayer CropScience (Monsanto).

“Collin’s leadership in both startups and established multinationals, paired with his deep knowledge of the agriculture industry and his commercial track record, make him the ideal leader to guide Verdex into its next chapter,” said Laurie Powers, Verdex Capital’s Board Chair. “We are excited to welcome him and confident in his ability to accelerate our mission to Advance Canadian Agriculture.”

Prior to joining Verdex Capital, Collin served as Chief Commercial Officer at PRT Growing Services, where he co-led the acquisition and integration of the company’s largest competitor and built a North American sales and marketing team. His prior leadership roles at Corteva Agriscience and Bayer CropScience saw him spearhead award-winning marketing campaigns, scale commercial teams across Canada, and lead transformative supply chain operations.

Collin holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Marketing from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Royal Roads University. He is currently pursuing his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
