We are pleased to announce the appointment of two distinguished professionals to the Verdex Capital Board of Directors: Michael McGee and Rick Hoffman.

Michael McGee brings a wealth of experience in Venture and Finance, having served in leadership roles at Avrio Capital, Werklund Capital, and Bioenterprise Corporation, as well as having held several Board roles. His strategic insight and deep venture industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to grow and innovate.

Rick Hoffman joins us with an impressive background with Farm Credit Canada, having served in leadership roles for over twenty years, including as the Executive VP & CFO for the last nine years, and VP Finance & Venture Capital preceding that time. His expertise in Finance, Agriculture, and Venture Capital will strengthen our Board’s capabilities and support our long-term vision.

After serving as our Board Chair for the last 3 years, Alf Sailer has stepped down from that role and will continue as a director. We are pleased to announce that Laurie Powers has been appointed our new Board Chair. Laurie has been on our Board for 5 years, serving as Chair of the Audit Committee for the last 4.

Both Colette Miller and Jerry Bouma have retired from our Board after serving 14 and 12 years respectively. The organization more than doubled Assets Under Management and significantly improved processes and procedures during their tenure on the Board. We would like to thank Colette and Jerry for their dedication and exceptional contributions while serving on the Verdex Board.
